| Farming
village situated on the rich lowlands of the river Antas.
Despite its proximity to the coast, the influence of tourism
is minimal. Currently, it focuses its activity, apart from
agriculture, in the service sector and in the development
of a fast growing industrial estate. It was the home of
the Agarian culture, which flourished in the South Eastern
part of the Peninsula during the Bronze Age. The archaeological
site of the Lugar Chico has been declared Heritage of Culture
Interest.
