| The
Natural Maritime and Nature Reserve of Cabo de Gata-Níjar,
with its almost thirty-four thousand protected hectares,
twelve thousand of which are on the coast, is one of the
most beautiful and environmentally richs strips of shoreline
along the whole Mediterranean. Apart from a few villages
inside the Park boundaries, such as Fernán Pérez
or the Pozo del Fraile, along its coast, flanked by cliffs,
reefs, lonely coves and long sandy beaches, there are other
villages such as San Miguel del Cabo de Gata, San José,
Isleta del Moro, Rodalquilar, Los Escullos, Las Negras
and Agua Amarga.
