Turre
Traditionally a farming town, Turre is nowadays the best place to get to know the cuisine of Eastern Almería. Most of its municipal area is in the Sierra Cabrera, a mountain range of particular beauty in which are hidden the ruins of muslim towns, such as Cabrera or Teresaa, abandoned after the Moorish expulsion. On the outskirts, there are two of the oldest and best housing estates in the area, Cabrera and Cortijo Grande.
